Welcome! I’m Emily Wheeler, Owner and CEO of E Wheeler & Company LLC, offering virtual consulting and accounting services across New England, New York, and beyond. I founded this business in 2008 with a simple mission: to provide high-quality, personalized financial support to individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits—with empathy, integrity, and expertise.

My Story

I earned my B.S. in Accounting from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY in 1990. Over the next 17+ years, I worked in both corporate and public accounting. I gained valuable experience—but also found that long office hours made it hard to balance career and family life.

In 2008, while living in Northern Vermont, I launched E Wheeler & Company LLC to create a more flexible and meaningful way to work. When my family relocated to the Capital Region, NY in 2015, so did my business. Today, I proudly serve clients across Northern Vermont, the Capital Region, and the Hudson Valley, all through a hybrid model (virtual & in-person) that fits modern needs.

My Approach

Accounting is more than just numbers—it’s about people, their goals, and sometimes, their fears. I work with clients from all walks of life:
